City of Ada names new Assistant Chief of Police (ADA, OKLAHOMA/January 23, 2024) ? Major Jason Mosley has been named the new Assistant Chief of Police for the City of Ada. Mosley has been with the Ada Police Department for almost 19 years. Major Mosley started as a Reserve Officer in 2005 and went full-time as an APD Officer in 2006. He was promoted to Captain in 2016. Mosley has also been a firearms instructor for 12 years. "I am very happy to be assuming the role of Assistant Chief of Police and continuing to work with the public in this new capacity,? stated Major Mosely. ?It will be an honor to work alongside Chief Jackson to accomplish our goals." Mosley grew up in Ada and graduated from Vanoss. After graduation, he worked as an EMT (Intermediate) for four years before choosing a career in law enforcement. He has been married to his wife Jenny for 19 years and they have three children, Riley, Cason, and Sam. When not at work, Major Mosley enjoys spending time with his family, and being outdoors. ?I believe in the men and women that make up this department,? said Mosley. ?Together, I know we will accomplish great things in the City of Ada.?
